Inspired by the novel “On the Road”, this travel book is a tribute to Jack Kerouac. The author also includes some earlier scenes in two central chapters that form a trip back in time. “Jack is like the Last of the Mohicans; telling us about his bush knowledge, describing the bush culture before it fades away into the united American night... Everything is Okay. This is his mystical revelation. Everything is Okay, just the same.”

Richard Strong, écrivain et photographe.
Né en 1943 à Melbourne, Richard Strong arrive en Europe en juin 1966 après un voyage en paquebot, passant par le canal de Suez. Il étudie la littérature à la Sorbonne de 1967 à 1970 et ensuite la linguistique à l’Université Paris 7, tout en travaillant comme professeur d’université jusqu’en 1985.
Ses premiers écrits sont des carnets de voyage, dont on retrouvera des extraits dans le roman autobiographique "The Expatriot’s Game". Partant de sa vie d’étudiant à Sydney entre 1960 et 1965, il fait un premier roman intitulé "Overlanders", commencé en 1966 et terminé trente années plus tard, en 1996.
